WITH BRAKE IN HAND... First, let me quote an e-mail I wrote the day the mini-miracle happened... but if you were one of the folks who received it, don't miss "the REST of the story" which follows, k? :-) This was written on September 23, 2003: In the past two weeks I have picked up loads of hay, grain, straw and firewood in our truck. I have driven it to visit friends in a nearby town, and back and forth to our store when Archie was away. It took me to our store and home again just yesterday - highway driving most of the way. And now for the REST of the story! Archie phoned me to ask if I remembered where he had been five years ago today. I hesitated, thinking, and he prompted me by saying, in a voice filled with wonder, "Under the car!"... That brought the memories flooding back: Archie pinned beneath our car, one tire inches away from his left side, one leg trapped between a huge boulder and the underside of the vehicle, the gas tank inches above his head... the tow-truck, two fire trucks, the call to our pastor for the urgent prayers of our local prayer team... my frantic invoking of the prayers of Archie's deceased family-members to join me in approaching the Throne of Grace (I didn't know Him as well then as I do now, and I wasn't leaving ANY unturned)... the ambulance... ... Archie being taken away to hospital on a backboard, the ambulance attendance running his fingertip up and down inside the deep channel that had been carved into Archie's leg and half-way around it, an inch deep and 18 inches long - BLOODLESS despite its depth!... the pleas for Internet prayer... ... and scant hours later, Archie walking out of the hospital (the firemen had thought at first his trapped leg would be broken in at least three places, it was so badly pinned)... ... the neighbours who came to see for themselves the miracle the firemen had told them of, the absolutely UNBELIEVABLE rescueing of this man who had so nearly been killed when the unmanned car had rolled backwards, gathering speed until it leapt 30 feet - carrying him with it! - and came to rest straddling the boulder... And I remembered Archie's joy when he came to me that night as I was writing a praise report to faithful prayer warriors around the world. HE COULD WALK, WITHOUT PAIN, WITHOUT EVEN A LIMP!!!!! Do not be afraid to turn to Him, to love Him, to trust Him, to see Him in everything and to praise Him for all that He does - the open doors and the shut, the good things and the bad. 'Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you' - literally, physically, emotionally, spiritually - knowing you just the way you are, and loving you, and wanting nothing but the best for you. MY OVERCOMERS WITH OVERCOMING FAITH "For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink....Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness. Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should not crave evil things, as they also craved. And do not be idolaters, as some of them were....Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents. Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer. "The night is far spent, the DAY is at
hand." My prophetic time clock has now begun and is ticking down. It
is time for many to awaken from their slumber of deception to take
responsibility for their own walk and life with ME. Many are murmuring concerning the problems in their lives. My beloved, tests and
difficulties always come to those who profess faith in Me, but haven't I said
that "all things work together for good if you Love ME, and are called according
to MY purpose?" Many do not truly trust ME in the midst of
your difficulties even though you KNOW that I have a plan and purpose for your
life. If you murmur, if you don't truly trust ME in every way, the results
will be the negating of the degree of blessing that I
have intended for you. I knew all that would happen to you, nothing has
taken me by surprise - have faith In Me. Many of My own sense ME, but few
"receive ME.' When all is well, you do but very few heed My
voice during the storms. Overcoming faith is
seeing your God even in the worst of times. This is
when you must hear Me most of all, and beloved, the storms will continue at
times for the Devourer seeks to derail your walk with Me by lies, accusations
and deceptions and he is excellent at his job. Who has he devoured,
you ask. - The world and much of Christianity through deceptions.
Then ... he tries to use all of this to devour you! Many of My own are reading what I give to My
prophets but few comprehend My message. So many of My own believe they know Me but
few actually KNOW ME and that grieves me so..... You go about your traditional
"religious" rounds - but you do not wish to know My whole counsel of what I am
doing at this time. Many of My own seek MY TRUTH, but are not
mature or strong enough to HEAR MY TRUTH. That is why My prophets upset
you for they convey MY truth. For many that truth brings fear and fear is
NOT of ME, so why are you forlorn and despondent? I test the faith of My own and if you let go of all that is of the
world and of "religion" you will come through as pure gold. In the
end, you will fit into one of two categories ... Those who overcome OR
those who allow themselves to be overcome. But I have My Own who are My Overcomers, My
Forerunners, My Remnant who are walking by FAITH, faith IN ME.
They have not always been their strongest at all times, but they TRUST THEIR GOD! These
are My Overcomers who have been crucified with Christ and they no longer live,
but Christ lives in them. They are a people who say "I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens Me." I have called them to walk by faith
and their lives are lived by faith and their walk with ME has at times been an
extremely difficult one. They are a People learning to put ME between them and their circumstances not
their circumstances between them and ME. My overcomers and it's their
overcoming FAITH which shall shortly catapult
them into their destiny amongst a world in turmoil. FAITH ... FAITH IN ME,
not in man's formulas. A People who will speak from their
experiences in the wilderness, the wilderness where I sent them for My
preparation before their emergence into the world.
What they have lived through will help others going through the same.
They will not preach a "popular" message but one of
their walk of the Cross, a walk that brought them into their
calling. Have My Overcomers experienced troubles in
their walk? Oh yes, for I have called them to be Overcomers therefore the
devourer has sought them out... My Overcomers have
been called to overcome everything that the devourer, the Master of Deception
can throw at them. At this crucial moment in time, he is working overtime
to devour My Faithful Ones. ALL of My Overcomers
have been beset by the Devourer and he is doing his very best to take you away
from MY truth. But I called you before the beginning of creation and NOTHING shall take you away
from MY truth. My overcomers, seeing what the world does not
see. Understanding what the world does not understand. Born of ME
and overcoming the world, one with your King of Glory. My Remnant holding
