BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION!

Dear friends, The Lord is laying heavily upon my heart the need for all of us to seek His face in humility and repentance. Great devastation is about to come upon the United States (not my prediction, but the Lord's revelation to several well-respected American Christians of my long acquaintance), not because of the actions of any individual or group, but because of the callous preoccupation with personal gain that is rife throughout the land, and the almost total disregard for God's desires and commands. The whole world will shortly be engulfed in fearful happenings, the like of which have never been seen before (and which, praise God, will never be seen again)...

and we will have NO RECOURSE but to fall upon our knees and acknowledge Him as Lord.
Will this happen suddenly? Yeah, you could say that. The Bible tells us it will happen "between one new moon and the next" and "between one Sabbath and the next." (Isaiah 66:23)
66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
The Bible also tells us that "except those days had been shortened, would no flesh have survived."
This is scary stuff, coming from a Book with a 100% accuracy record for everything prophesied to date.
God is not in the business of telling horror stories (He leaves that to Hollywood and Harry Potter!). HE is TRUTH - and if His Word is setting forth an accurate picture of what is about to come upon us (as I know it is), believe me, we need no artificial stimuli to provide a false adrenalin rush.
PLEASE, "Seek ye the Lord, while yet He may be found."

COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIAN - OR CHILD OF THE KING?

MAN, it takes a while for some facts to filter through this old head of mine! It wasn't until I was reading an old, old book this morning (Grace and Truth, by W.P. MacKay, M.A., published by Loizeaux Brothers, 19 West 21st Street, New York 10, N.Y.) that this truth struck home. Thought I'd share it with you, because it is BEAUTIFUL. I'll have to paraphrase because it's too long to quote in its entirety, but here's the general idea:
We know that when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, the "Comforter", Whose job is to guide us into all knowledge, to teach, to encourage, to convict, etc., etc.
We know that we are told to "be ye perfect, even as your Father Who is in heaven is perfect", but our experience has been that this goal is out of reach; and not only out of reach, but out of sight, as far as we're concerned - so much so that we are inclined to heave a sigh and go on muddling on the best we can. (Forgive me if I'm mistaken in painting you folks with a brush from my own palette, okay?)
We battle our old nature to the best of our abilities; slip and fall; struggle back up... but sometimes it's a depressingly unequal fight, and one we despair of ever winning. There are just too many fronts on which we need to be vigilant; too many other pressures adding fuel to the fire. So we put on our best 'stiff-upper-lip' smile, tell everybody we're doing just fine, thanks -
... and end up flat on our face in the front row of hypocrites AGAIN. Hmmm.
The ONLY way we can DO and BE and WALK as Jesus did, is to do and be and walk as Jesus did. There's no way around it. You can't counterfeit the life of Christ, because it had no equal. You can only partake of it by letting Him live and move and have His being within you; or as Paul puts it, reversing my order, "In Him we live and move and have our being."
HOW ON EARTH DO I DO THIS? How do I ***possibly*** do this on earth? HELP!!!
Here's where Mr. MacKay's book comes in, bless him. He reminds us of Joshua, Moses, and the battle against Amalek, saying,
"Read (Exodus xvii: 8-16), where we get the account of the conflict: Joshua, the captain of the Lord, fights with Amalek (son of Eliphaz, eldest son of Esau); Moses is on the hill-top with the rod, holding up his hands in intercession to God, supported by Aaron and Hur, one holding up each arm, for as long as his arms were held up, Israel prevailed. And Joshua discomfited Amalek with the edge of the sword. An altar is raised, called Jehovah my banner for the Lord will have war with Amalek, not once for all, but 'from generation to generation'. This is all after the Red Sea has been crossed.
"This gives us an illustration of how the Spirit of Jesus fights against the flesh. The Advocate is with the Father on high, and He is Jesus Christ the righteous, the spotless High Priest, making continual intercession for us. ...
"As the Israelites found that the sword of Joshua and the prayers of Moses routed the heathen Amalek, so the Christian finds that there is nothing like the truth of God, the authority of God, the sword of the Spirit, ACCOMPANIED BY THE INTERCESSION OF JESUS ON HIGH for the unsubject flesh within him. All the wilderness conflict has this character: 'Thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee and prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldst keep His commandments or not.' (Deut. viii. 2.) ...
"Christ has taken charge, not only of our salvation, but of our conflict and our walk. Grace saves, but Grace also teaches. Neither is it by an internal power only that we are guided, but by external authority or commandment. We do not walk in the paths of righteousness, merely because we see them to be righteous, but because God has ordered them. The former would be self-pleasing, the latter is God-pleasing, and if ever the question should arise between what I feel and see to be right, and what God says is right, then I must obey God rather than my own feelings. Abraham did not understand how it was right to sacrifice his son, but he believed God, and offered his son because God told him.
"As long as the Israelites were in the wilderness, they were seen in themselves, as needy and sinful, while God was proving Himself bountiful and gracious. We find a wonderful illustration of God's provision for the Christian's need very near the end of the Israelites' march. In Numbers xxi. we have a sad picture of their murmurings, and at verse 6 we read, "The Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, we have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that He take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the Lord said unto Moses, make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole; and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
"As long as the Christian is in this world, he will have sin in him, and his power against it is Jesus crucified. The Son of Man lifted up on the cross is what withers up practically and daily our rebellion, waywardness and perversity, and in Him God sees no iniquity in Jacob and no perverseness in Israel. And if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
MacKay goes on in considerable depth; but the joyous message is this: Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father, our great High Priest and Intercessor, not "just" to mediate our prayers and present them to God, but also to pray for each one of us in our daily struggles. Jesus and the Holy Spirit together are siding with us in our battle against our old nature. How can we possibly not rejoice? How can we possibly lose? HALLELUJAH, dear ones, CHRIST IS KING!!!

I am thankful today that God has made us for His pleasure and that nothing can stop what God has created us for and to be in Him for His purposes. Nothing. His LOVE reaches and calls us close to HIM. NOTHING can stop this either. His blood continues to wash and make us clean. NOTHING can stop this. He knows our heart and no false interpretation of who we are can stop Him from knowing what is really within us, what He is making us to be and like Him. He knows our desire to serve Him for HE PUT IT THERE. He provides for us in every circumstance as He does all living things He has created. Nothing can stop the hand of God. Nothing can stop the purposes of what He has ordained and WRITTEN for this IS and shall BE and shall come to pass. NOTHING CAN STOP IT. NOTHING. God who only CALLS all things to be and allows us to be found in HIM shall move every mountain.
Is He calling you to intimacy? Go to Him. Nothing can stop you.
Has He called you to walk in His Spirit. Obey Him and be led of Him. Nothing can stop you.
Has He shown you things to believe, yet it would seem they are not coming to pass NOW. Go on for nothing will stop what God has planned.
For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of PEACE, and NOT of evil, to give you an EXPECTED end. (Zion SHALL come forth in one day)
Isaiah 41:12 Behold all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing: and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as NOTHING and as a thing of naught. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, FEAR NOT; I WILL HELP THEE.

Some Will Inherit Everlasting Fire

Those who love and live on the very pleasant promises of God should also consider the other just as valid and certainly as true promises that promise everlasting fire. Here are a few of the promises of everlasting fire for your careful consideration.
(John 17:3 KJV) AND THIS IS LIFE ETERNAL, THAT THEY MIGHT KNOW THEE THE ONLY TRUE GOD, AND JESUS CHRIST, whom thou hast sent. --- Jesus said that Life eternal was, KNOWING the only true God, and KNOWING Jesus Christ. But many if not most churches today teach that we cannot KNOW God --- The Apostle Paul gave us the other side of this statement by Jesus --- IN FLAMING FIRE TAKING VENGEANCE ON THEM THAT KNOW NOT GOD! --- This is not the casual know most assume! This, "KNOW" is an intimate caring know as Adam knew Eve and she got pregnant. Just a guess on my part but I believe they got to know one another pretty well. Ok, the penalty for not knowing God intimately is flaming fire according to the Bible. But most will say without a blink, or a thought, "but I'm saved."
The rest of the verse covers the saved and others who don't/won't/can't obey the Gospel. Now if the total Gospel is the salvation message, which is being taught today, we have to ignore most of the New Testament. Including the last part of this verse --- the text is below but I am using The Interlinear Greek-English New Testament, Editor, Jay P. Green Sr. literal translation --- IN FLAMING FIRE GIVING FULL VENGEANCE to those not knowing God AND TO THOSE NOT OBEYING THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. --- Yes it is flaming fire for those who will not obey!
So the question is: What is the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ? My texts are below we will consider this question below.
(2 Th 1:8 KJV) IN FLAMING FIRE TAKING VENGEANCE ON THEM THAT KNOW NOT GOD, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (2 Th 1:9 KJV) Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; --- Literal translation --- verse 8: In flaming fire giving full vengeance to those not knowing God and to those not obeying the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 9: Who will pay the penalty: everlasting fire from the face of the Lord and from the glory of His strength. --- Confirmed by The Apostle Peter --- (1 Pet 4:17 KJV) FOR THE TIME IS COME THAT JUDGMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD: and if it first begin at us, WHAT SHALL THE END BE OF THEM THAT OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL OF GOD?
Here are some of the things Jesus ordered/ commanded --- (John 15:12 KJV) THIS IS MY COMMANDMENT, THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. --- And the penalty for not obeying the one we call our Lord Jesus Christ --- (Mat 25:41 KJV) THEN SHALL HE SAY ALSO UNTO THEM ON THE LEFT HAND, DEPART FROM ME, YE CURSED, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS: (Mat 25:42 KJV) For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: (Mat 25:43 KJV) I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. (Mat 25:44 KJV) Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? (Mat 25:45 KJV) Then shall he answer them, saying, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, INASMUCH AS YE DID IT NOT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE, YE DID IT NOT TO ME. (Mat 25:46 KJV) AND THESE SHALL GO AWAY INTO EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT: BUT THE RIGHTEOUS INTO LIFE ETERNAL.
First the command we all love and cherish --- (John 15:4 KJV) ABIDE IN ME, AND I IN YOU. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (John 15:5 KJV) I am the vine, ye are the branches: HE THAT ABIDETH IN ME, AND I IN HIM, THE SAME BRINGETH FORTH MUCH FRUIT: FOR WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING.--- Let's face it living in and becoming a part of Jesus would enable us to KNOW Him and to be fruitful. --- (John 15:7 KJV) IF YE ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, YE SHALL ASK WHAT YE WILL, AND IT SHALL BE DONE UNTO YOU. --- The reason so few prayers are answered today is because Christians want it all, pleasure, sin, money, power, and Jesus too.
Living in Christ or thinking you are living in Christ and believing you are pleasing Him in your sin is at the very least a mistake! --- Jesus said --- (John 8:34 KJV) Jesus answered them, VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, WHOSOEVER COMMITTETH SIN IS THE SERVANT OF SIN. --- Jesus said, if you sin you are a servant of the devil because the devil is sin personified. But this verse certainly doesn't stand alone, Paul said it too --- (Rom 6:16 KJV) KNOW YE NOT, THAT TO WHOM YE YIELD YOURSELVES SERVANTS TO OBEY, HIS SERVANTS YE ARE TO WHOM YE OBEY; WHETHER OF SIN UNTO DEATH, OR OF OBEDIENCE UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS? --- Paul said if you keep on sinning you are the devil's servant just like Jesus said, are these verses part of the everlasting Gospel? Is the Bible the eternal truth that Jesus said it was? --- (Mat 24:35 KJV) HEAVEN AND EARTH SHALL PASS AWAY, BUT MY WORDS SHALL NOT PASS AWAY. ---
Now the other side of, "Abide in Me" --- (John 15:6 KJV ) IF A MAN ABIDE NOT IN ME, HE IS CAST FORTH AS A BRANCH, AND IS WITHERED; AND MEN GATHER THEM, AND CAST THEM INTO THE FIRE, AND THEY ARE BURNED. --- Notice how very carefully Jesus worded this verse.
IF A MAN ABIDE NOT IN ME,
HE IS CAST FORTH AS A BRANCH, AND IS WITHERED;
AND MEN GATHER THEM, AND CAST THEM INTO THE FIRE, AND THEY ARE BURNED
But this agrees with our text and most of the New Testament --- IN FLAMING FIRE GIVING FULL VENGEANCE to those not knowing God AND TO THOSE NOT OBEYING THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. --- Yes it is flaming fire for those who will not obey!
(Rev 19:16 KJV) And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. --- Yes our Lord Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords! But few ever consider that we are supposed to be the kings and lords that Jesus is King and Lord over. May I just suggest that babies especially soiled and spoiled babies are not fruitful and cannot and/or will not rule even over themselves. The unfruitful are to be burned according to the Bible we all say we believe. Here are some of the commands that the Bible provides for Christians. ---
(1 Th 5:18 KJV) IN EVERY THING GIVE THANKS: FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS CONCERNING YOU. --- What is God's perfect will for you, it isn't complaining and feeling sorry for yourself, it is being thankful, period, regardless of your personal circumstances!
(Phil 4:8 KJV) Finally, brethren, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE TRUE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE HONEST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT; IF THERE BE ANY VIRTUE, AND IF THERE BE ANY PRAISE, THINK ON THESE THINGS. --- This one goes with the one below--- (2 Cor 10:5 KJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and BRINGING INTO CAPTIVITY EVERY THOUGHT TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST; --- And this one requires that you obey this one --- (James 4:7 KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU.
It is important to remember if there isn't any devil, as many teach, then the whole Bible is false. --- Our enemies are named for us in the Bible even if they teach you don't have any enemies and there isn't any devil! --- (Eph 6:12 KJV) FOR WE WRESTLE not against flesh and blood, but AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES. --- And not against flesh and blood! And I always add, our enemy is the evil one we are not fighting our own flesh and blood.
If your Gospel is limited to salvation by grace and thank God salvation is by grace alone! Let me ask, "Is there or has there been life and growth after your personal spiritual birth?" Remember, "If nothing changes then everything remains the same or gets worse." But the Apostle of Grace Paul said --- (2 Cor 5:17 KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(2 Cor 5:18 KJV) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Let's notice
1. THEREFORE IF ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST,--- Remember --- "If a man abide/live in me" John 15:
2. HE IS A NEW CREATURE --- or creation, how many of God's creations were not good? Are you NEW or not? Do you hate and struggle against sin?
3. Old things are passed away --- The old man, the carnal nature, the old self, and all of the old man died and the truly born again are NEW! Except their old memories, because, if God had made you a new baby without a memory, you would have had to learn the difference between good and evil all over again. Notice not some or many things, it is ALL things are passed away or dead!
4. BEHOLD, ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW --- If this is not true and has never been true in your life you have never experienced the new birth and Jesus said you are just meat. (He didn't put it in the passage quoted but it has to be meat for the devil) --- (John 3:6 KJV) THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE FLESH IS FLESH; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. --- And "flesh" is an old English word for meat. It is "Carne" or meat in the Spanish Bible. (1 Pet 5:8 KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL, AS A ROARING LION, WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR: --- I don't think this can be dismissed as a coincidence or a mistake in translation. What do you think?
5. AND ALL THINGS ARE OF GOD, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation --- Yes, just like Romans 8:28 says --- (ROM 8:28 KJV) AND WE KNOW THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD, TO THEM WHO ARE THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.
A. ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD ---- to whom?
B. TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD, --- But this leaves out a bunch of Christians, because love can be and often should be translated, "PAY ATTENTION TO" and few Christians seem to have time to pay attention to God. Oh yes I know they want God to pay attention to them, but that is not exactly what God had in mind.
C. TO THEM WHO ARE THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. --- I am sorry to mess up your verse but the verse obviously does NOT include everybody. And apparently slaughter is a good thing for Christians sometimes --- (ROM 8:36 KJV) AS IT IS WRITTEN, FOR THY SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL THE DAY LONG WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER. --- Are you still a Bible believer?
