David Brollier THE 3RD COVENANT Fiction An ex-convict with an agenda and two of NYPD's finest face off when Father Rierdon is found murdered in Manhattan's Chinatown. OHzone's Doris E. Howie says: "Nicely handled! A fast-paced read with good characterization and a believable plot. I can see this as having strong potential for screen adaptation. The Christian sub-theme, after a somewhat forced introduction, develops naturally along with the central characters rather than being presented as a gratuitous add-on. The humour interspersed throughout is sometimes subtle, sometimes openly uproarious, but always welcome. David Brollier proves himself as an up-and-coming new author with considerable talent and keen insight into the subject on which he writes. Look for his name on the New York Times Best-Sellers List before many years are out!" Note: I wrote that review after reading the early manuscript some years ago, and my comments still stand. This is an EXCELLENT first novel, and I'm glad to report Dave has more of the same in the works. Watch for DELIVERANCE, in which Adams and Wish team up again. |
