NOLOMOS 1:1-18

Before there was a beginning I am there.
After there is an ending I am there.
Within me are truth, love and justice.
Within me are holiness and perfection.

Before I set the sun ablaze in the sky,
before I cradled the earth in the heavens
I knew you and longed for you to know me.
Know me then. Come to me and know me.

Am I filled with wrath for nothing?
Have I not given you the choicest treasures,
yes even my only son,
that you might know me?

I have seen your hypocrisy.
I have marked your evil ways well.
Therefore, I, even the Lord God Almighty
am filled with anger against you.

I give you a sacred garment for worship
and you use it as a rag to clean your boots.
I give my love without measure
and still you call upon me as if I were your servant.

Repent therefore, humble yourselves before me
that my anger may pass from you,
that my wrath shall not consume you
as a fire consumes the dry leaves.

If you will but come to me and repent
in holiness and all humility
I will raise you up before your enemies.
they shall marvel at you and be astonished.

But the time is short and I am coming soon,
like a thief that waits for the household to fall asleep
I shall return. Shall I find you asleep also?
Shall you not rejoice in seeing my coming?

Watch therefore and be ready always.
Stir up the love that once burned within you,
that I may find you ready, awaiting my return,
that I may gladly call you my children.
