WHEN YOU ARE IN CONTROL

When I'm rushing to meet deadlines
And my human strength fails -
When heat and humidity combines
And chaos and confusion prevails.

When costs go up and incomes drop
When folks and friends fall ill -
When long term plans suddenly flop
And doubts and fears rage still.

When Visas are rejected
When jobs are hard to find
When I feel alone and neglected
And senses seem deaf and blind !

When problems seem insurmountable
And darkness floods my soul -
Remind me that `everything' is possible
When You are in complete control.'

When You are in control I know
I can face life's bitter defeat,
My own endeavours I let go -
I leave them all at Your feet.

Frustrations and doubts I leave
Tired and broken - round the bend !
In helplessness and faith I cleave
Take control my God, and friend.

Only You know what tomorrow brings
In You there's victory over Satan's sting
I humbly bow in submission - O Lord
Take control, my Creator, my God.
